Building on the success of the Hornsea Youth Club – there are now over 100 members of primary and secondary school age - Hornsea Town Council has been successful in securing £5000.00 of further funding. The funding will be utilised to run a second youth club session enabling primary and secondary school aged children to have separate evening meetings. Commencing Tuesday 25th April the secondary aged children session will be every Tuesday from 7pm till 9pm. The primary aged session will still be every Wednesday from 6pm till 8pm commencing Wednesday 26th April. Both sessions will still be at the parish rooms on Newbegin. Would parents please note that the youth club will be closed completely during the first week of the Easter holidays (Wednesday 12th April). However, youth club will be open as normal for all ages on Wednesday 19th April before the new split session times begin the following week. At a recent meeting the Town Council recorded its congratulations and thanks to lead youth worker Harry Shires who has worked extremely hard, in conjunction with the management committee and volunteers, to ensure the fantastic success of the youth club project. Thanks must also go to Father Phil from St Nicholas church who was instrumental in arranging use of the parish rooms for the youth club.
