PLEASE REFER TO THE FINANCIAL INFORMATION/BUDGET ITEM UNDER "TOWN COUNCIL" FOR FURTHER DETAILS Notice of conclusion of audit Annual Return for the year ended 31st March 2017 Section 20(2) and 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 (S1 2015/234) 1. The audit of accounts for Hornsea Town Council for the year ended 31st March 2017 has been completed and the accounts have been published. 2. TESCO BAGS OF HELP FUND...again!

The Hornsea Lions are seeking your support via the Tesco Bags of Help fund to assist Hornsea Town Council in extending the paved area in the Memorial Gardens. Remembrance Sunday celebrations continue to be extremely well attended/supported and with this in mind, the Town Council would like to provide additional hard-standing for those attending at the War Memorial. HORNSEA YOUTH CLUB

Building on the success of the Hornsea Youth Club – there are now over 100 members of primary and secondary school age - Hornsea Town Council has been successful in securing £5000.00 of further funding. The funding will be utilised to run a second youth club session enabling primary and secondary school aged children to have separate evening meetings. Commencing Tuesday 25th April the secondary aged children session will be every Tuesday from 7pm till 9pm. The primary aged session will still be every Wednesday from 6pm till 8pm commencing Wednesday 26th April. Both sessions will still be at the parish rooms on Newbegin. Would parents please note that the youth club will be closed completely during the first week of the Easter holidays (Wednesday 12th April). However, youth club will be open as normal for all ages on Wednesday 19th April before the new split session times begin the following week. At a recent meeting the Town Council recorded its congratulations and thanks to lead youth worker Harry Shires who has worked extremely hard, in conjunction with the management committee and volunteers, to ensure the fantastic success of the youth club project. TESCO "BAGS OF HELP" FUND

Hornsea Town Council is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the top grant of £5000 by the Tesco “Bags of Help” scheme towards the redevelopment of the skate park in Hall Garth Park. The funding award was made possible by the support of residents and Tesco shoppers using their tokens in store to vote for the skate park redevelopment project. A HUGE thank you and well done to Tesco shoppers in Hornsea for your help and support! Thank you also to Cllr Angus Robinson who completed and submitted the grant application on behalf of the Town Council. Cllr Robinson leads the skate park user group and continues to work tirelessly, with the support of the Town Council, in pursuit of a new skate park for Hornsea. Read More...

The error related to information on the 2016/2017 financial year. The document has been corrected and is available to view on the "Town Council" page. METAL DETECTING

Hornsea Town Council does not allow the use of metal detectors within Hall Garth Park. Anyone searching on land without permission is committing trespass. Anyone removing objects from land without permission is committing theft. It is illegal to use a metal detector on the Scheduled Monument area within Hall Garth Park without permission from English Heritage. Holes in the ground left following excavation are a danger to other park users. Read More...
