Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday will take place on 12th November this year. A service at St Nicholas Church will precede a parade from the church to the Memorial Gardens, arriving there at approximately 10.50 am. A short service and wreath laying ceremony will take place at the War Memorial within the Memorial Gardens. Please note Newbigin and New Road will be closed to traffic from 10.00 am to 12 noon (rolling road closure) to allow for the parade. Read More...

Hello Hornsea. The Hornsea Youth Response Team were out in force over the Carnival weekend and would like to say that the atmosphere and behaviour we witnessed was very good, with no issues to report. It looked like everyone enjoyed themselves despite the weather. HORNSEA TOWN COUNCIL BUDGET 2023/2024 At a meeting held on Monday 30th January 2023 the Hornsea Town Council set it's budget for 2023/2024. The overall increase in total precept amount equates to 6.62%, however, due to the increase in the Band D tax base for Hornsea the actual Band D equivalent increase is 4.90% on 2022/2023, well below the current rate of inflation. METAL DETECTING

Hornsea Town Council does not allow the use of metal detectors within Hall Garth Park. Anyone searching on land without permission is committing trespass. Anyone removing objects from land without permission is committing theft. It is illegal to use a metal detector on the Scheduled Monument area within Hall Garth Park without permission from English Heritage.
