Detached Youth Workers Required for Youth Response Project, Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated individual's to deliver a new youth provision in the Hornsea area of the East Riding of Yorkshire. Working with Hornsea Town Council with the support of YFS, East Riding of Yorkshire Council you will undertake detached youth work directly with young people in a variety of settings within the Hornsea area.
The successful applicants will work alongside young people, Hornsea Town Council and other stakeholders in developing a range of activities aimed at assisting young people’s personal development. The post holder will have a genuine interest in young people and a commitment to equal opportunities.
This work will largely be unsociable hours (evenings and some weekends), and will include delivering sessions to disengaged youth people in the Hornsea area; sessions will be varied, and many activities will involve working with targeted groups, who have low self-esteem, and additional needs.
The working hours will vary according to need, and will be evenings and occasional weekends.
The posts available are:
Casual contract for a pool of staff that would work a maximum of 3 hours per week - salary £10.67 per hour, employed by Hornsea Town Council.

Post to commence 1st April 2019.
A recognised qualification in Youth work is desirable but not essential. Experience of working with young people in Education, Health or youth and community settings is required. Training will be given.
