Hose Pipe Ban 11th JULY 2025
Following the announcement of the hose pipe ban and subsequent watering restrictions, the Town Council will be implementing its drought watering plan.
The Council has already invested in rain water harvesting and storage systems which should allow us to keep our hanging baskets and planters hydrated during the restrictions, while avoiding mains fed water.
H.T.C hanging baskets and planter towers around the town, are of a water saving design and incorporate an internal reservoir with capillary matting. This reduces water usage and wastage in comparison to the traditional moss lined baskets. This also keeps plants moist for longer.
H.T.C will keep watering, within the restrictions, in order to keep our town displays looking great for the Summer Season, for as long as possible.
