East Riding of Yorkshire Council Ward Member Surgeries

If you have an issue you would like to discuss with either of the ward members you can speak directly with them at the Hornsea Leisure Centre on the 3rd Tuesday of each month between 6.00pm and 7.00pm, no appointment necessary.

Hose Pipe Ban 11th JULY 2025 Following the announcement of the hose pipe ban and subsequent watering restrictions, the Town Council will be implementing its drought watering plan. The Council has already invested in rain water harvesting and storage systems which should allow us to keep our hanging baskets and planters hydrated during the restrictions, while avoiding mains fed water. H.T.C hanging baskets and planter towers around the town, are of a water saving design and incorporate an internal reservoir with capillary matting. This reduces water usage and wastage in comparison to the traditional moss lined baskets. This also keeps plants moist for longer. H.T.C will keep watering, within the restrictions, in order to keep our town displays looking great for the Summer Season, for as long as possible. Read More...

NEW MAYOR AND DEPUTY FOR HORNSEA! A huge congratulations to the the new Mayor of Hornsea Cllr Elaine Young and the new Deputy Mayor Cllr Stephen Prescott! Both councillors were elected to their respective civic roles at the Annual Meeting of the Hornsea Town Council yesterday evening. 2025 Band Concerts

We are happy to confirm the dates for this years Band Concerts, which will take place in The Memorial Gardens, Railway Street. Sunday 1st June - East Riding of Yorkshire Band. Sunday 20th July - Driffield Silver Band. Sunday 31st August - Beverley Brass Band. The Concerts will take place between 2pm and 4pm and are open to all, with no admission charge. In the event that the weather stops them taking place outside, we are very grateful that the Methodist Church, Newbegin have agreed for us to hold them there. Read More...
