CONSULTATION - EXPERIMENTAL RIGHT TURN BAN
Published: 31 August 2018
Experimental right turn ban, from Southgate to Newbegin, Hornsea, all days, 8am-6pm, Good Friday to 30th September inclusive
Following continued requests to reduce traffic queues and delays from the traffic signals at the junction of Southgate with Newbegin in Hornsea, the Town Council have agreed with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to use an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order to extend the operation of the existing right turn ban from 8am to 6pm on all days of the week between Good Friday and 30th September inclusive. This experimental right turn ban will continue to operate until 6pm on 30th September this year.
The experimental order has been advertised for comments on the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s website since the start of July. We now want to get the opinions on the right turn ban from the people of Hornsea who have been most affected by the queues from the traffic signals over recent years.
Please CLICK HERE and use this questionnaire to give us your thoughts on the impacts of the experimental right turn ban by 28 September 2018. We will use your feedback to let the East Riding of Yorkshire Council know the views of the residents of Hornsea on making this right turn ban permanent between Good Friday and 30th September inclusive 8am-6pm.
